UNIQUE 1920'S STYLE 8 SEATER CARABANC/COACH FOR SALE.
Built over 7 years ago over a three year period bt it's coachbuilder/sprayer owner "Charlotte" is now looking for a new home due to the owners retirement. Thousands of hours have gone into her production to produce a unique vehicle.
She is an aluminium body, specially bonded on to steel framework for extra strength and to eliminate corrosion caused by "electrolysis" when aluminium and steel touch.
Exact replica 1920's artilary wheels have been made at considerable expense and a specially made diff and rear axle compliment these with the correct ratios for the five speed gearbox. Larger Mercedes front disc brakes and specially made rear finned aluminium 1920's style brake drums assist it's stopping power. The stronger back axle is further complimented with the addition of air suspension.
"Charlotte" is probably the only coach built charabanc replica in the UK and has the benefit of being fitted with N1 tested seats(integral diagonal seat belts) offering safe and comfortable seating for it's occupants. She is considerably more usable than an original and boasts hardwood windows and is equipped with front and rear heaters. The bonded on panels coupled with cavity wall insulation make her a quiet conveyance and considerably more comfortable and practical than an original.
The Ford commercial underpinnings (P100) with 2.00litre pinto engine upgraded to electronic ignition have proven to be utterly reliable with low maintenance costs. She has been built regardless of costs and is a popular vehicle for the transportation of bridesmaids/immediate wedding party. She also would compliment any other classic or vintage car and with it's 8 seater passenger capacity could be an alternative to a limousine. "Charlotte" could also be used for corporative work and could be a great asset to to promote a business or hotel. She has been previously hired out at £425 per wedding and could easily pay for her self in a few years. She has a valuation of £45,000 from a reputable classic car dealer and is for sale at a fraction of her build costs.
